International Day of Peace was on September 20.  Remember to practice building peace at home, at school and in your community. This is the poem was read to students and they were asked to sign a peace pledge.

The New Standards Are Coming

The State of California is part of the Common Core State Standards Initiative.  Virtually all of the USA will be teaching using the same common set of standards.  Skyline Elementary staff is preparing for the shift to the new standards which will take place 2014-2015.
